The Company is located in Rome, in the industrial area along the via Tiburtina. The workshops are extended over an area of approximately 21,000 sq.m.

Mechanical sector, has the longest experience and the effort of the company has directed to steadily diversify its activities through the acquisition of the new technoligies and the development of new processing. The Company has achieved a leading position among the suppliers of high quality components and assemblies.
The Electronics activity of the Company began in the early seventies and has grown to comprise of a wide range of modern electronic and microelectronic technologies.
The experience acquired in the late seventies let to further expansion of its activities into the Optronics market.

The Company today uses an extensive range of numerically controlled machines, multiple processing centres and highly modern electronic, microelectronic and optical equipments. These improvements have ensured not only a high level of productivity, but also a superior quality and reliability.
The Quality of the Company has had a long track record with NATO's high standards for quality. Currently MES is certified in accordance with the most advanced Aerospace standards (AS/EN9100)
As suggested by the name of the Company, which could be rendered as "Mechanics for Electronics and Servomechanisms", precision mechanical engineering has been the back bone activity of the Company ever since it was estabilished back in 1958. The production of high-precision mechanical systems and servomechanisms for professional and military equipment was the principal activity in the early years of the Company's life, and still plays a fundamental role in the Company's activity today.
In response to the growing demand for national supply sources, the Company in the early seventies began to divert part of its work force to the production of microwave components. The growing importance of this area let to the setting up of separate Electronics sector within the Company.
In 1980 a new activity began. The Company set up its optronic sector, as a natural consequence of its already intense commitment in the electronics sector and the great market demand for the ever more sophisticated technologies. The latest area in which M.E.S. is devoting its attention to is the thermal vision. In this field the Company is evaluating cooperation opportunities with major International producers.
